It's here, it's here, it's finally here!!!!

This Saturday 12/12/15 is the annual Winter Fest Boat Parade.  This year the theme is "Fairy Tales Afloat" and the boats participating in the parade will be decorated in the theme of their favorite fairy tales.

"The Parade stages along the New River and travels east to the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale and north to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach. The best way to see the parade is viewing from the Grandstand Viewing Area (just north of Sunrise Boulevard) starting at 7PM.  Other Viewing Areas: Bridges, The Riverside Hotel, Downtowner Saloon and other various locations along the parade route. For a list  of locations: http://winterfestparade.com/where-to-eat-where-to-stay."

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...."  Okay, maybe not so much with the weather here in Florida but the decorations around town have been going up!  Next week is already Thanksgiving and an annual event you definitely do not want to miss is only a few days after that.  Christmas on Las Olas is the perfect event to get you into the holiday spirit with a snow mountain, an ice skating rink, choirs singing and lots of yummy food and drinks.  The event is being held between 6th Ave and 11 Ave on Las Olas and the best part..... entry is free!

"I'm just a sweet transvestite, from Transsexual Transylvania."

If you don't know what that quote is from than you have never seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show and if you haven't then what are you waiting for????  The Gateway movie theater located at 1820 E Sunrise Blvd, Ft Lauderdale, FL 33004 has bi-weekly showings and your next opportunity to see it is this Saturday 10/17/2015.

"Rocky Horror is the first and only true audience partici-(SAY IT!)-pation movie. People yell back lines at the screen during the extended pauses between dialogue, dress up in costume and act out the film, and throw props various times during the film. And by the way, for the "gore sensitive", Rocky Horror is NOT a horror film. It is a rock-musical send-up of old science-fiction and horror films. " For More info : http://www.rockyhorror.com/participation/virgins.php
