Fort Lauderdale opened it's first rooftop bar this month and of course I had to check it out. I definitely think this spot is a great addition to the area offering great panoramic views of the downtown Las Olas area.  I tried one (okay maybe more than one) of their specialty cocktails and a bite from their app menu and it was delicious.  They open everyday at 4pm and 2pm on Sundays.  Check them out at 1 West Las Olas

 

 

 

This past Friday I was in search for someplace new for dinner and happened to stumble into The Indian Harbor on 17th Street in Ft Lauderdale.  Let me just say, the food was outstanding, the restaurant was very nice and the service was impeccable.  The owner even came up and introduced himself.  He also advised that they are available for catering for yachts during the Fort Lauderdale boat show!  Whether it is date night, a group outing or a lunch for one, I highly recommend checking out this spot. View their menu at : http://www.theindianharbor.com/menu-grid/

This weekend, October 21st, is the 2017 Yacht Bikers Poker Run. The start will be at National Marine where there will be breakfast. Registration opens at 8:00 am and the ride leaves at 10 am.  All riders must be registered by 9:30AM. The ride will go from National Marine to Alligator Alley Harley-Davidson. The next stop will be for fuel at I-75 and snake road. The final Stop will be the The Tiki Bar in Clewiston where there will be awards and lunch.
